Computer science faculty and students attend conference in Milwaukee

 

The 41st Annual ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) SIGCSE (Special Interest Group in Computer Science Education) was held in Milwaukee last week. This international conference was attended by more than 1,000 computer scientists including SXU faculty members Jean Mehta, D.A., Flo Appel, D.A., Jim Aman, Ph.D., and Khaled Alzoubi, Ph.D.; CS Lab Director Chris Harr; five graduate and 11 undergraduate students.

 

Travel and accommodation for many students was made possible by the department's NSF (National Science Foundation) S-STEM (Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) grant.
