Meeting at Mother McAuley High School with 

Sister Lois Bromark and 

Sister Rose Wiorek

  • Introductions

  • How McAuley students will be selected for the workshop

  • Review flier

    • Confirm dates

  • Need for any other publicity?

    • Tripanel possibility

  • Review workshop content

    • Alina will share the workshop outline

    • Alina will share the sample of student notes to be distributed at each workshop

  • Survey

    • IRB at McAuley?

  • Show sample of MindStorms robotics

    • Jacky will show robot with bumper sensor

    • Maggie will show robot with light sensor

 

Results of the meeting:

  • Alina, Gloria, Jacky, and Maggie will spend a day or two at Mother McAuley giving presentations about the workshop to Freshmen and Sophomore students.  The fliers will be distributed, and interested students can indicate their interest in registering for the workshop.

  • Maggie will make minor changes to the flier and then produce 20 copies for display throughout the school and several copies for student handout.

  • McAuley and St. Xavier will work on getting publicity on the workshop.  

  • McAuley and St. Xavier will create information on our websites about the workshop.

  • At the conclusion of the workshop, we will produce a tripanel for display, and spend the final day with the participants showing off their robots during lunch periods.

  • Dr. Mehta will work on survey
